Getting Artsy

I love being a mom, and getting to stay home with my son. We have days filled with playing and learning, at least I think he is learning. But sometimes we need to pass the time. So I grab my camera and start snapping pictures. I have always liked taking pictures and from time to time really get a good one. Now even an OK picture can turn into a really cute picture using photo shop, which I am still learning to use. Today I tried my hand at taking some "Artsy" pictures and here are some of the ones that I really liked.

Here we have Darren with one of his favorite toys. I tried focusing on Blue (that is the toys name) with Darren in the back ground.

This is a peace Lilly that I have in my living room that is blooming for spring. It has one bloom and I tried some different angles, and got up really close to the bloom. I also thought that the lighting was pretty neat coming in the window through the curtain. I thought the plant and the shadows were really cool.

At the top of our page is the Lilly on my plant again. I really love how that picture turned out. Please let me know what you think or if you have any pointers on how to get other really neat photos.

I think it's great! Love the deeper thinking. Now that I look at the lily, there is a plant called antherium (sp?) in hawaii that looks very similar. I will send you one if you like! They are red and pink!
